Great tips! I had never thought about Secret #4, but that does make a lot of sense.
One thing I like to do before booking a spa treatment in Hawaii is to see if the spa has a menu online or go by the spa and pick up a menu. That way I can really see what is offered and determine what treatments are worth the expense. Usually the spas offer a combination package that can save a few bucks.
One thing to be aware of regarding Secret #3 is that some spas charge an extra fee if you are not a guest of the hotel. This happened to me at the Grand Wailea. If I remember correctly, it was a $50 fee on top of the treatment fees.
