How true. Vacation rentals and B&Bs are the best bet on getting a good deal on where to stay in Hawaii this summer. The costs are much lower than the hotels, they are self-sufficient and private, whilst still being near shopping and recreation options. On top of that, unlike with hotels, the money stays in the islands--greatly boosting the economy and allowing for improvements to make visitors experience the sensations of Hawaii. The Big Island would be the best tip, seeing whereas the diverse culture and climate zones allow one to get the most into-and hence,-out of- their stay.
I also like your idea that the money stays in Hawaii when renting from private vacation rental owners. Renting a vacation home or condo from a Hawaii resident supports small business in Hawaii and Hawaii tourist industry!

Did you see that even MSN ran an article today about unbelievable vacation deals in Hawaii, mostly at hotels though like 2 rooms for 1rate or Hawaii hotels offer free breakfast, which is unsual.

Aamy you be referring to the photos of the Volcano Cottage or the next photo of the Kona golf condo. Yes, you are very right. Both places are decorated with much much love and taste, so their guests can feel the best on their Hawaii vacation.
