Did our recent post about 'Finding employment in Hawaii' make you wonder whether you should try your luck finding a job and check things out on your next Hawaii summer vacation? Not a bad idea, if you can make a short notice decision for a Hawaii summer trip. I noticed quite a number of nice Hawaii vacation rentals are still available for early summer in June and later summer August.
Generally, June is a great month for summer vacation in Hawaii, also for those families who travel with kids to Hawaii. If you can choose, decide for June and save money on accommodation, air fare and car rental. Even with taking the economic slowdown into consideration, one of the biggest travel month to Hawaii was and is July, when kids have their summer vacation.
Here is my observation regards 2010 Hawaii summer vacation. Amazingly, most quality Hawaii vacation rentals are booked for most of July but listen to this: The same wonderful rentals are still wide open for August. So if you are flexible budget traveler, forget about a Hawaii summer vacation in July and shift your full attention to getting the best deals for Hawaii accommodations for AUGUST!

At our condo today there were so many birds and the goats were grazing. The turkeys came right up to the door. Saw spinner dolphins in the ocean... So fun....and the views of Maui and the ocean were beautiful.

Even the whales left Hawaii, the dolphins will stay with us all year round. Who doesn't love those friendly ocean creatures? And being able to watch them having breakfast on your own lanai! Priceless!

Ocean views on Hawaii vacation is a big priority for visitors when booking a Hawaii hotel or vacation home rental. Eating outside on a private lanai and enjoying those views are special moments in Hawaii!
These are some reasonable rates for those wishing to rent out lodging. One has to consider that you cannot vacation too long in one destination. It tends to become boring and less interesting. Therefore plan vacations over a time period of maximum 2 weeks. If there are Islands near by, try to plan in such a way that you can incorporate visiting and staying on each Island to make the experience memorable and breathtaking.

From our experience as hosts, most Hawaii visitors stay 7 - 10 nights on the island. To do Hawaiian island hopping within that short period can become a little hectic for a vacation in Hawaii.
For instance, when staying on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island, there are so many adventure things to do, beyond the hanging out on the white sand beaches, that one week is over in no time.
So, plan your Hawaiian Island hopping carefully. We don't recommend more than 2 islands for one Hawaii vacation. When you once fell in love with Hawaii, you will be back for more!
