Have you ever wondered how you can really enjoy the Christmas holidays without all the Mainland christmas stress? All our Hawaii visitors who celebrate their snow free Christmas in Hawaii will tell you "How". Book a vacation in Hawaii for the Holidays, most favorably including Christmas Day and New Years.
Keoki and I had great fun putting our '5 Best reasons for a Christmas in Hawaii' together for our 'Best Hawaii Vacation' visitors:
1. Escape to warm sunny Hawaii
Actually, Keoki recommended to make that reason the top 3 reasons, which is probably true. Escaping snow, icy roads bundling up in tons of layers of clothes is definitely in everybody's mind when making their reservation for Christmas in Hawaii.

2. Escape the Mainland Christmas Shopping Mania
Each year it seems that Christmas arrives earlier at the markets and stores with Christmas decorations showing up at early as October and "Silent Night" being played for hours, days and weeks. Christmas shopping for yourselves and family can be really fun in Hawaii. Hawaii gift stores are very happy to mail Christmas presents to your friends and family.
3. Escape long lines at your local Post Office
Christmas in Hawaii saves you from standing in long lines at the local post office, not to mention gift wrapping and packing Christmas packages. As said before, gifts from Hawaii are always welcome by family and friends whether it's Kona coffee, Big Island Macademia Nuts, Hawaiian shirts or Keoki's 'Hawaii Easy Stretch DVD' or other Hawaii goodies. All those can be easily shipped by the Hawaii company right to your family and friends.
4. Trade the Snow Shovel for a Boggie Board and a dip in the warm Hawaiian Ocean
Imagine yourself walking barefoot on a warm white sand beach, or floating in turquoise blue warm water of the Pacific on Christmas Day instead of slipping and slidding down the road with your car on your way to family or friends on Chistmas Day. Christmas Vacation in Hawaii? Priceless!
5. Have a Healthy Holiday in Hawaii.
No need to go to the gym for your tough workouts on the mainland. Beach walks, swimming, boogie boarding, kayaking, and body surfing will get you in the perfect shape during your Christmas Vacation in Hawaii. Have some extra money to spend? Try a relaxing massage at one of Hawaii's excellent spas. Serenity Now!
Last but not least, if we convinced you that a Christmas Vacation in Hawaii is just what you need to make your Christmas Holidays fun, low stress and healthy all at the same time, plan your Hawaii Christmas vacation far ahead to get the best rates for air fares, car rentals and vacation accommodation.

I love your reasons for having Christmas on Maui. For us it is like trying to convert the already converted as we have spent the winter and Christmas here for a number of years now. A great way to escape the Canadian brrrrrr, if you know what I mean. It is so nice to get off the plane and be hugged by warm tropical air. We love Christmas on Maui!!!
Aloha Julie and welcome back to our Best Hawaii vacation blog!
Your Hawaiian Christmas tree is lovely with the ornaments from Hawaii. Be happy with your artificial tree. The real ones leave their needles soon in our warm Hawaii weather. I tried many times to keep it alive as long as possible with special tricks but it seems to make it just to Christmas.
Too bad that the Christmas trees come in always so early after Thanksgiving in their cooling trucks. It's too long till Christmas. That's why most everybody sticks with the articifical tree in Hawaii. By the way, the real Christmas wreaths from Costco make a great decoration in Hawaii as well.

We know there are many other tropical places to escape to during the cold winter months but as a Hawaii blog we definitely prefer the Hawaiian Islands where skies are blue and waters are crystal clear and warm.

Well said Pua, bust out the aloha wear and head to the islands asap.
P.S. Hope you had a wonderfill Christmas!
Long time no see, WaveShoppe.
What new Hawaii shirt designs for our Hawaii visitors do you offer these days? Always fun to visit your online store.
Wishing you a successful, happy and healthy New Year 2011!
My long-standing desire!
Yes, the Hawaiian Islands are the sailing destination of many boat owners combining the sailing adventure with a vacation in Hawaii!
Pua, we have moved to the mainland, and it's 20 degrees here now. Big difference from our weather in Hilo in January.
I still walk my dog every day, and we are finding ways to get exercise and make it work .. but I did slip on the ice and bust my knee and not walk at all for a few days and then with a limp for several weeks, and it is definitely much harder to get exercise than it was in Hawaii.
In Hawaii, if I wanted my son to get outside for a bit I'd just say, "let's go swimming!" his favorite, and off we'd go. ... :) not so easy here.
I guess I'm trying to say your last point is a very valid one :)
Yes, Lisa, Mainland winter can be quite challenging with ice and snow on sidewalks and roads. Sorry to hear that it got you. One can be cautious all the time but accidents still happen.
Hope you have the opportunity to escape winter at least for a week or two and visit with friends in Hawaii. The East Coast of the Big Island, including Hilo, your former home, is blessed these days with quite some sunshine.
Get better soon. A hui hou. Aloha, Pua
Christmas in Hawaii IS fun + SPECIAL but any other time is so too. We always use to say 'Another beautiful day in paradise!'.
Very interesting. I'm sure Christmas was a lot warmer in Hawaii than here on the mainland. I've been once before and cannot wait to go back. When I visited, I was able to make the trip thanks to http://www.easymilitarytravel.com. They offer great airfare discounts and other assistance for active duty military and federal government employees. It really is a great way to pay less when traveling.
